"The new era of portable gaming". The new PSP design comes from the idea of imagining a modern re-styling of Sony's historic portable device, enhancing its classic features but renewing lines and shapes in accordance with the new style presented by the japanese brand for their new products on the market. By adapting the style of the console to the modern technology, we have created a product that makes elegance as its key element, without sacrificing important values such as ergonomics, functionality and aesthetics.

The PSP is presented as a set of different layers, specifically designed to put the user experience as a focal point in the phylosophy of the project. The upper part, ultra-thin, presents the classic Sony arrangement with the physical, management and analog buttons. Through the PlayStation key there's the possibility to manage the voice commands, in addition to the common options like turning on and off the device. The screen uses the new "OLED Full-Screen" technology to promote a total immersion in the gaming experience. The central part of the PlayStation has a front grid that manage the cooling of the console itself, while on the lower part there's an USB-C input, optimized to charge the PSP in the most universal and fast way possible. This compartment is completed by two speakers and two symmetrical microphones, the volume adjustment button and the entrance for the Game-Card, in order to add values to the physical video-games market. The lower part is white and textured, as presented in other Sony devices such as PS5 and Dualsense. This goes to match a shape created to enhance the ergonomics of the console itself, which inside contains the triggers with haptic feedback.

We created this project to give value to Sony's aesthetic and stylistic heritage, giving our interpretation in a modern key of an object that has represented, for many years, the history of the videogame's world of portable consoles.
